02 Nathan's MISSION
HIS MISSION IS TO BRING CUMBERLAND COUNTY SCHOOLS INTO THE 21st CENTURY AND CREATE A LEARNING ENVIRONMENT OUR FUTURE GRADUATES WILL BE PROUD OF.
03 Experience
2019 - 2020
Juvenile Defender
Cumberland County Juvenile Court
Through my role as a court appointed attorney, I have had the opportunity to counsel children in our community alleged to have committed a criminal offense. For most juveniles, this process is the most terrifying experience of their lives.
2014 - 2020
Assistant Public Defender
Cumberland County Superior Court
I serve as court appointed counsel to members of our community who've been charged with felony offenses. I manage a caseload of approximately 200 clients. I spend more time on my feet, arguing in courtrooms than I do in my office.
2013 - 2014
Assistant Public Defender
Cumberland County District Court
Served as court appointed counsel for members of our community who'd been charged with committing misdemeanors or DWIs. I managed a caseload of over 300 clients.
2013 - 2018
Involuntary Committment Counsel
Court Appointed Counsel
I represented children and adults in our community who'd been involuntarily committed to Cape Fear Valley's Behavior Health Facility out of concern for their mental health.
